WWE star Brock Lesnar has just proven that he isn’t somebody you can mess with — physically or verbally. The former UFC heavyweight recently stepped into the WWE ring to wage war against wrestling champ Daniel Bryan for a thrilling match at Survivor Series. However, it wasn’t the combat that made its way to the headlines…
The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE Survivor Series PPV event:
Bryan went for a straight drop kick to the right leg of Lesnar to start out the match. Bryan then ran around the ring and started playing chicken heel and stalling. Bryan mocked him as Lesnar started to get frustrated.
Bryan caught a kick and landed a big right hand. Lesnar with a sick german suplex that saw Bryan land right on his neck. Lesnar started his suplex city chant. Lesnar with another german suplex then belly-to-belly suplexes. Lesnar tossed him to the floor and into the barricade. Back in the ring, Lesnar applied a bear hug. Fans started booing and chanting “same old s**t.”
Lesnar with another belly-to-belly suplex. Lesnar with an F5 to Bryan but when he went for the pin attempt, he stopped at 2. Bryan with a series of kicks to the face of Lesnar. Lesnar went for an F5 but took out the referee. Bryan with a low blow then a running knee to Lesnar for a near fall. Bryan with a series of kicks to the legs of Lesnar. Bryan went for a running knee but Lesnar blocked and Bryan sent Lesnar to the floor. Bryan went for an outside dive but Lesnar caught him.
Bryan escaped and sent him into the ring post then hit a running knee off the apron to the face of Lesnar. Bryan went for another dive but caught and Lesnar sent him into the ring post. Lesnar grabbed the steps and went to hit Bryan but walked into the ring post. Bryan with another running knee.
Back in the ring, Bryan hit a running knee to Lesnar for 2. Bryan took out the left leg of Lesnar then used the ring post to his advantage and a flying drop kick off the top rope. Bryan with a series of drop kicks in the corner then locked in the yes lock but Lesnar got out of it. Bryan with some clubbing right hands and applied it again. Lesnar countered a triangle choke with the F5 for the win.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
