Alison Wong of New Mom Comics began creating cartoons about her life as a mom in 2015, after her son was born, and since the coronavirus pandemic began, has pivoted her comics to represent this time in a humorous and relatable way.
“Early in March, when the COVID pandemic was just starting out, I switched from drawing about our family life (we have a five year old and a 3-month old), to drawing about this truly unprecedented time,” Alison wrote on her site. “I looked to find ways to bring a positive or humourous spin on the news (which isn’t always easy!).”
From a comic about eating outside to avoid cleaning up after another family meal to one that highlights the hilarious process of an at-home haircut, Alison’s cartoons are sure to make you giggle. Keep reading to see some of our favorites of Alison’s recent comics.
