Alberta threatens legal action after Saskatchewan bans Alberta licence plates on job sites

REGINA—Alberta says Saskatchewan has one week to revoke its ban on Alberta licence plates at Saskatchewan job websites or face court docket motion underneath free commerce guidelines.

And Alberta Financial Improvement Minister Deron Bilous says Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall must “smarten up.”

Bilous made the feedback simply hours after the Saskatchewan authorities introduced that any new contracts for presidency work on buildings and highways require any and all employee autos to not have Alberta plates.

Saskatchewan Infrastructure Minister David Marit says it’s in response to complaints from its staff that Alberta has already put in related restrictions.

Ministry employees will implement the availability via job-site monitoring.

Bilous says there isn’t a such restriction on Saskatchewan plates, and he says Wall is desperately attempting to deflect consideration from a sagging provincial economic system.
